Call for Abstracts!
"Tech Talk" Presentations

The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) is currently soliciting for contributions from academic, industry and government professionals and students to present a 10 to 15 minute "Tech Talk" at the NVTC Impact AI Summit.

What is a "Tech Talk"?
Like the well-known “TED Talks”, we hope that each “Tech Talk” can shed light on a research project or application of AI that is either novel or has shown real, interesting results (good or bad). Are you ready for your 15 minutes of fame in front of the DMV Tech community?
Each Tech Talk will be approximately 10-15 Minute in length. While this is not a lot of time, it is enough time for you to really leave an impression on the audience.

What is the Impact AI Summit?
The NVTC Impact AI Summit is a premier conference in the DMV focused on helping the local tech community understand the current state and evolution of AI. The goal is to have the DMV area be recognized as an East Coast Center of Excellence in AI research and applications.

When: March 25, 2020
Location: Inova Center for Personalized Health Conference Center at 8100 Innovation Park Drive in Fairfax, Va.

Submission Guidelines

Please submit your "Tech Talk" idea with the following information:

1. Tentative topic or title
2. Abstract of the presentation (1-2 paragraphs)
3. Presenter name / title and organization (can be changed as needed)

Review Process

Each "Tech Talk" submission will be reviewed by the Steering Committee for the NVTC AI Summit. Evaluation criteria will be reviewed on a) how succinct the topic or abstract is, b) the relevance of the abstract to the application of AI c) the perceived interest of the topic to the DMV Tech community. The Steering Committee also reserves the right to ensure a good diversity of topics when selecting the entries.
